The Bhagavad Gita and Modern Yoga Therapy

The classic yoga text Bhagavad Gita provides a paradigm for modern yoga therapy. Learn:

  • exactly what yoga therapy is and how it can improve your practice, teaching and life

  • the hallmarks of an effective yoga therapist

  • indicators of progress on the healing journey

  • practical tools for enhancing your yoga therapy sessions.

This program will include discussion and some gentle practices. ALL levels of experience are welcome to join. No prior knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita is necessary!

Your instructor, Atmadarshan, has used the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita to inform group and private yoga therapy classes. With her background in psychology, certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and experience leading hundreds of yoga therapy sessions, Atmadarshan is uniquely suited to present this important and relevant topic.

This is the second of three special summer classes on the Bhagavad Gita:

  • Saturday, June 13: Finding a New Normal in Times of Crisis

  • Saturday, July 11: The Bhagavad Gita and Modern Yoga Therapy

  • Saturday, August 8: The Bhagavad Gita as a Map of the Spiritual Path

Each is $30, or invest in all 3 for the reduced rate of $75. THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT

This class will be offered live online. In-person attendance may also become available - check back or contact us for updates.

Yoga Alliance CEUs are available. Any yoga therapy components of this program are based on the instructor’s C-IAYT credential through the International Association of Yoga Therapists and not derived from her status as an eRYT500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance.
