Hello, Dear Friends,
I am both very excited and a little sad to share the latest phase of my life with you.
I’ve accepted an internship at the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Spiritual Care. This full-time, three-month commitment runs from May through August and covers a full spectrum of ways to support Clinic patients, families, visitors and caregivers. These healing services include spiritual readings, meditations, yoga and more to address challenges such as
Feelings of sadness, loneliness, or loss.
Feelings of anxiety or stress.
Finding the courage to face and manage a condition.
Difficulty being hopeful and realistic at the same time.*
To get the most from this program, I’ve also enrolled in graduate school at John Carroll University to study different spiritual and religious traditions. I’ll be a JCU Blue Streak, which I find amusing since Sandusky (where I grew up) High School’s “mascot” is the Blue Streak, and the Blue Streak roller coaster is my favorite Cedar Point ride!
I will definitely experience a roller coaster of emotions during this Summer adventure, including enthusiasm to learn new skills, gratitude for the support of friends and family, and, of course, missing my weekly yoga class community. I’ll still be offering monthly Bhagavad Gita workshops along with other special events, and will continue to share this journey with you. Keep checking back for posts, and sign up for our newsletter (at the bottom of our Home page) if you haven’t already, so you’ll always have the latest details.
With love,
Atmadarshan/Laura
